Topic (Cancer) Why I chose it, who'd be interested

The topic I chose to research is cancer. I think people will be interested in learning about my topic because so many people are diagnosed with cancer each year. My grandpa died of brain cancer, my grandma died of pancreatic cancer, and my other grandma is currently being treated for breast cancer. My experience with cancer will help me add a level of interest and understanding for myself in the topic, as well as give me incentive to learn all I can and to want to educate others with what I've found. I want to know more about these three types of cancer because of the way they have affected my life. I want to do some research on the ways that these types of cancer are caused, and also things that can be done that might help prevent it or reduce a person's risk. I want to take a look at statistics, such as who gets what type of cancer, is it hereditary? Does it have to do with your environment?
I think that anybody who has cancer running in their family would be interested in reading about my topic. I know I certainly would be, which is why I chose this topic. Although I think my topic could almost appeal to anybody, just because of the vast number of people who get cancer every year. It's a widespread disease and it seems as though one never knows who or when it might strike.
